Procedures vary from department to department on access to faculty meetings. Check with your chair on your department’s policy.
Visiting Lecturer Phone Mailbox
Departments can give visiting lecturers a voice mailbox for receiving communications from their students. Check with your departmental secretary on how this is handled in your department.
VLs are assigned mailboxes in the departmental office. Check with your secretary for the location. Please check your mailbox regularly.
E-mail, Computer Access, Blackboard
Some departments have computers for Visiting Lecturers’ use, either in the departmental office or in a VL office. All Visiting Lecturers are allowed access to computers in the Moakley computer lab and in the CART office.
All Visiting Lecturers may receive a BSU email account; the form is available at http://it.bridgew.edu/Support/FacultyGuide/UserAccounts/ISUserAccountForm.cfm. Visiting Lecturers are given access to the Web for Faculty as well.
Blackboard is the course management system that allows you to post documents and communicate with students through the web. To set up a Blackboard account, go to https://www.bridgew.edu/accountregistration.cfm.
