Ann Brunjes is currently the Director of Teaching and Learning, located in Maxwell Library 001 (in the Academic Achievement Center). She was a member of the BSC English Department from 1997 - 2008, serving chair of that department from 2006 - 2008. With four other BSC faculty members, she co-founded the Adrian Tinsley Program for Undergraduate Research (ATP) in 2000, serving as ATP Coordinator from 2004 - 2007. She has mentored three ATP Summer Grants and five honors theses, and is a recipient of the 2007 Dr. V. James DiNardo Award for Excellence in Teaching. Dr. Brunjes' research interests, publications and academic conference presentations are in Early American literature, especially the literature of the early Republic. She holds MA and PhD degrees in English from New York University and a bachelor's degree from Colgate University.
