Effective Immediately (September 22, 2011)
Until further notice, CART will accept Travel Grant Applications prior to the completion of the Request for Travel Approval (RTA). However, access to travel funds through CART is conditional upon the applicant providing to CART a completed approved RTA. Our forms will be update shortly to reflex this change.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
All forms use Word 2007.
Each section is a separate document, hopefully eliminating some paper waste. Refer to individual grant "Checklist" for submission requirements.
The Budget Worksheets are specific to each grant and are in separate Excel spreadsheets. All formulas are included, you need only to enter the quantity and cost where applicable. All else, including factoring in fringe for salaries, will automatically compute.
IMPORTANT:
If your grant proposal includes travel you must complete the Request for Travel Approval form, even if your travel is during semester break or summer.
College procedure requires that the Request for Travel Approval form be completed prior to the date of travel, and that the dates entered on the form must include the actual dates of travel (e.g., including weekends, holidays, etc., if applicable.) It is the responsibility of the traveler to forward this form for all required signatures.
CART funds are pending approval of the grant application.
CART's six digit index will be provided at the time of reimbursement.
If you are seeking additional funding, when apply for a CART grant, please include all funding source on the Request for Travel Approval form.
