Recent Publications:

Dr. Bean has published essays, reviews, and interviews related to the intersections of theater, performance, and poetry in Postmodern Culture, Text and Performance Quarterly, Theatre Journal, The Iowa Review-Web, and Cultural Critique. She is the co-editor of Poetry after Cultural Studies, an anthology of critical essays to be published by the University of Iowa Press in 2011. Her current book project examines the rhetoric, history, and practice of poet's theater in the twentieth-century U.S.
