To help you prepare for this important test, Bridgewater State College has developed a workshop to provide you opportunities to concentrate on the skills which are necessary for good performance. Actual past exams and simulated materials will be used to teach question types and test strategies including:

  • Test taking techniques

  • Time saving methods

  • Logical reasoning

  • Verbal ability

  • Math competence

The classroom lessons are a combination of lecture and review. Lectures give a detailed review of the concepts found in the test and also discuss test taking strategies. Homework reinforcement modules include simulated test problems. After you have completed your assignments, the instructor discusses problems you do not understand. Course materials use several types of skill building exercises: practice drills and remedial work. The instructor will administer practice tests using actual exams. You will receive a computer disk allowing you to practice computer based testing and overcome computer based anxiety.

Students in the GMAT Workshop Receive:

  • Diagnostic exam, using actual retired tests

  • Personal assessment report

  • Student textbook

  • CD-ROM with computer adaptive practice tests (CAT) that automatically adapt to the student's proficiency level as they progress through the tests

  • In class problem solving, concepts and essential strategies for answering difficult questions

  • Review of each required testing point

  • Post exam, using actual retired test

  • Additional personal assessment report that tracks progress and a personal study plan sent to you after completion of the workshop
