Veterans - Chapter 106 Selected Reserve (G. I. Bill)

Eligibility:

  1. Must have enlisted on or after July 1, 1985 for a period of no less than six years. Have completed the requirement of a secondary school (high school) diploma (or equivalency certificate (GED)) prior to completion of Initial Active Duty Training Period.
  2. Has successfully completed Initial Active Duty Training Period and be in good standing with reserve unit. 
  3. Must be in graduate or undergraduate degree program

Entitlement:

  1. Entitlement is based on full-time enrollment and is reduced accordingly for less than full-time enrollment.
  2. Reservists are awarded thirty-six months of eligibility, which must be used within a ten-year period. If the reservist extends or reenlists at any time within that period, the ten-year window of eligibility will be adjusted to show new date of enlistment.

Required Forms:

  1. DD Form 2348 (From Unit)
  2. Completed VA Form 22-1990 (Application) or VA Form 22-1995 (Change of School or Program)
  3. Verification of acceptance into degree program (Admissions of Graduate School)
  4. Complete Veterans Information Form each and every semester!
