The Office of Campus Recreation offers a variety of sports and leisure programs designed to meet the needs of BSC students, faculty and staff. Each program is committed to promoting healthy lifestyles, enhancing the quality of the educational experience, and developing leadership skills.

Intramural sport leagues such as flag football, softball, basketball, co-ed volleyball, wiffleball and soccer emphasize participation and sportsmanship. Special events include frisbee golf, home run derby, dodgeball, inner tube water polo and cardboard boat races.

The mission of the club sports program is to provide quality student-run recreational opportunities to Bridgewater State College students. Clubs may be instructional, recreational and competitive depending on the program.

The Thornburg Fitness Center, located in the Adrian Tinsley Center, provides members with a wide range of cardiovascular and strength equipment. Group fitness classes, hiking trips, a new walking trail system and fitness competitions are also offered to the BSC community.
