District Funds

Each Teaching American History (TAH) grant has a limited amount of funds available for participating districts to use for activities related to the mission of each grant. Funds may be used for any purpose, including (but not limited to) materials or equipment, field trips, guest speakers, professional development opportunities, substitutes, and stipends for curriculum writing and similar activities.

Under Grant I, each of the four districts will receive $6,125 per year for three years,  for a total of $18,375.

Under Grant II each of the six districts will receive $666 per year for three years, for a total of $12,000.

The use of these funds is subject to the approval of your district's liaison and/or your department chair. Teachers wishing to use district funds are encouraged to file this form as far in advance as possible in order to facilitate the requisition of funds.

To request funds:

Submit a copy of the Request to Use Teaching American History District Funds form to your liaison and/or your department chair for approval. These forms can be obtained from your district liaison or from Karen Montecalvo. The approver should then send the signed and completed form to Karen at BSC.
