Title: Drug Free Workplace Employee Education

Presented by: Martha Deering, Wellness Corporation

Target Audience: All BSC Employees who do not supervise another full-time employee.

Time: 9:30am-11:00am

Location: Dunn Conference Room A

Course Description: This program will present the facts on the scope and impact of alcohol and drug use, reasons why people use drugs, warning signs of abuse, definitions of terms such as "drug" and "alcoholism," descriptions of different types of drugs, and discussions of available treatments. Education is the key to helping others with drug and alcohol problems. Come join us and get educated!

Time: 1:00pm-3:00pm

Location: Dunn Conference Room A

Course Description: This program presents the facts on the scope and impact of alcohol and drug use, reasons why people use drugs, warning signs of abuse, definitions of terms such as "drug" and "alcoholism," descriptions of different types of drugs, and discussion of available treatments. It also reviews the roles of the supervisor and the EAP when it comes to dealing with employees with possible substance abuse problems.
