Welcome to the Office of International Programs! 

Explore opportunities to study abroad offered by the Office of International Programs at Bridgewater State College. You can earn credit while traveling during the academic year or on your semester breaks. Students from all academic backgrounds are welcome to join these exciting programs.

This summer, 15 students traveled to Japan with Dr. To to study history. While in Japan, students had the opportunity to live with a family, visit various historical sites, and learn a bit of the language all while earning 3 BSC credits.

During the Summer 2007 break, 13 students traveled to Peru with Dr. Wakin and Dr. Cohen, faculty members from the Department of Sociology at BSC. While in Peru, students took part in various excursions including hiking and rafting trips all while earning 3 BSC credits.

During the month of July 2007, 4 students from the spring semester Arabic I course, traveled to Jordan with Dr. Jabbar Al-Obaidi to continue learning the Arabic language. The students visited Petra, recently named one of the 7 wonders of the world and also had the opportunity to practice their newly acquired language skills with Jordanian students all while earning 3 BSC credits.

Study Tours

Earn 3 BSC credits while traveling with a Bridgewater State College faculty member and a group of students during the semester breaks in January, March, and summer. Scholarship funding is available for eligible students. During the 2007-2008 academic year, courses will be offered  in a variety of countries and subjects.
