Teachers need a lot of stuff
to teach children to read!

No single method or combination of methods can successfully teach all children to read (IRA,1999).
Children learn differently and at different rates.
Teaching these children to read requires ever expanding wagons
filled with experience, the ability to see the inner nature of individual students,
and a varied intensity of many approaches to reading instruction.
