The following are documents which have been recently added to the Clement C. Maxwell Library's web pages. Older documents which have undergone substantial revision are also included.

December 2002

  • Newsbank BSC users now have in-library and off-campus access to full-text articles from the Boston Globe, the Boston Herald, The Christian Science Monitor, the Los Angeles Times, the Springfield Union-News, the Washington Post, and the Worcester Telegram & Gazette. In addition, the Cape Cod Times is available for in-library access.

September 2002

  • Anthropological Index Online contains citations to more than 750 international journals in all areas of anthropology and archaeology held by the Anthropology Library at the British Museum (Museum of Mankind).
  • Biography Resources Center combines award-winning biographies from Gale Group sources. It also includes full-text articles from hundreds of periodicals. Search for people based on one or more personal facts such as birth and death year, nationality, ethnicity, occupation or gender, or combine criteria to create a highly-targeted custom search. With the Complete Marquis Who's Who(R), find quick reference information on an additional 900,000 people.
  • Business and Company Resource Center, a fully integrated resource, brings together company profiles, brand information, rankings, investment reports, company histories, chronologies and periodicals. Predicast's PROMT database is fully integrated in this database. Search this database to find detailed company and industry news and information.
  • Business Index ASAP allows to perform in-depth research on management issues, economic indicators and business theories and practices, as well as on the activities of companies and industries worldwide. Instant access to academic and business journals with full text and images.
  • General Reference Center Gold covers information of general interest such as current events, popular culture, the arts and sciences, sports, etc. The full text of articles is available for selected titles.
  • Health and Wellness Resource Center. Use this Resource Center to find magazines, journals, newspapers, definitions, directories, and information on: Fitness, Pregnancy, Medicine, Nutrition, Diseases, Public Health, Occupational Health and Safety, Alcohol and Drug abuse, Prescription Drugs, etc. Included are links to diet, cancer, and health assessment sites as well as government databases. The material contained in this Resource Center is intended for informational purposes only.
  • Infotrac OneFile, a one-stop source for news and periodical articles on a wide range of topics: business, computers, current events, economics, education, environmental issues, health care, hobbies, humanities, law, literature and art, politics, science, social science, sports, technology, and many general interest topics. Millions of full-text articles, many with images. Updated daily.
  • Professional Collection contains full-text periodicals for teachers and school administrators.

May 2002

  • Kcdlonline, Kraus Curriculum Development Library, is available for the campus community. It is a searchable database of curriculum guides from around the nation, including frameworks and standards for all PreK-12 and Adult Basic Education subjects. The database provides an index to the Kraus Curriculum Development Library collection of nearly 4,500 curriculum guides on microfiche, as well as full text online access to the most recent curriculum guides. Approximately 300 new guides are added each year.

March 2002

  • Maxwell Library has replaced FIS Oline with online access to Thomson Financial Piranha Web. Financial information on US-traded companies and markets including company profiles, annual and quarterly financials, pricing information, earnings estimates, EDGAR filings, real-time news, market index updates, and delayed stock quotes. Results can be downloaded into Excel.
