Pat has had a distinguished career of over thirty years teaching geology and physics at East Longmeadow High School. He has become very well-known due to his authorship of four very useful field guides to the Connecticut River Valley and adjacent Berkshire Mountains. Pat has received many awards for his work and in 1998 was chosen as the Outstanding Earth Science Teacher for the National Association of Geoscience Teachers. Pat has a wonderful manner in explaining the geology of New England and has been most generous with his time and energy in preparing and delivering workshops for teachers.
