Music Technology at BSU

The Moakley Technology Center houses a Macintosh based MIDI Lab consisting of eleven student workstations plus an instructors station. Each station is equipped with a G4 Power Mac, Korg synthesizer and software for music learning, sequencing, and notation. Software includes Digital  Performer, Finale, Practica Musica and Band-in-a-Box.

The instructor's workstation is equipped with a Korg Triton ProX Keyboard, Roland VS 1680 Digital Mixer, Roland CD Burner, Tascam DAT Recorder, Alesis monitors, Projector, and Pro Tools software for hard disk recording, editing and mixing. The lab is used mainly as an instructional facility. Open lab times are offered for students of courses that utilize the lab.
