Jazz Band

The Jazz Band is open to all students wishing to perform in a number of different jazz styles from classic swing to funky soul.  Performances provide the student with an opportunity to apply musical skills acquired through practice and rehearsal. Numerous opportunities are available for composition, arranging, and improvisation.  In addition to the annual Bridgewater State College jazz festival, the Jazz Band also plays regularly on campus as part of the Midweek Improv Sessions.  The course may be repeated for credit.
