Bridgewater State University would like to welcome you to our new series of
Wednesday evening improvisational jam sessions. These sessions are run to
provide a friendly place to network with other musicians, improve musical
abilities and most importantly, to have fun playing music. Musicians of all
levels are invited to perform in a wide variety of musical genres - everyone is
welcome to come down and play. Currently we are hosting nights for Jazz, West
African Drumming, Blues, Traditional Irish, Bluegrass, and Brazilian ensembles with
hopes of adding more in the future.
These improv sessions offer a no-attitude, supportive environment where anyone can play and feel comfortable. The music is about freedom of expression, spontaneity, love of music, and sharing of emotion. It is passion, performance and pride. These improv sessions create a place to have fun, meet other musicians, and play great music. Come on down and check it out. Feel free to contact Dr. Donald Running for more information on our sessions.
