Dr. Suad Amiry, author and architect, will present a talk entitled "Sharon and My Mother-in-Law: A Palestinian Architect Turned 'Hakawati' or Storyteller" on Tuesday, April 16 in Maxwell Library's Heritage Room. The event, which starts at 12:30 is open to the campus community and general public. Dr. Amiry is the founder of Riwaq, the Center for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage in the West Bank. She is the author of Nothing to Lose by Your Life, Menopausal Palestine and the soon-to-be-released Golda Slept Here. Following her talk, Dr. Amiry will sign copies of her books, which will be available for sale that day in the Heritage Room. The event is sponsored by the Department of Art with support from the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, The Center for Middle East Studies and the Honors Center at BSU.
