A panel discussion "Reflections on Sandy Hook: Guns, Violence and U.S. Culture" will be held Wednesday, March 6, from 1:50 to 3:15 p.m. in the Dunn Conference Suite in East Hall. The discussion will feature Dr. Mark Kemper, associate professor of political science; Dr. Kim MacInnis, professor of sociology; Dr. Sandra Faiman-Silva, professor of anthropology; and Dr. Elizabeth Englander, professor of psychology. The panel will discuss issues related to the Second Amendment, origins and consequences if U.S. gun laws and the development of responsible gun laws. The event, co-sponsored by the Department of Anthropology and the Center for Legislative Studies, is open to the public and the campus community.
