"U.S. Diplomacy in the 21st Century: A Special Look at the Middle East" will be discussed by retired U.S. Ambassador Margaret Scobey at the fourth presentation of the John Quincy Adams Foreign Affairs Distinguished Speaker Series. Her talk will be Wednesday, April 24, starting at 3:30 p.m. in Maxwell Library's Heritage Room. Ambassador Scobey served as U.S. Ambassador to Egypt from 2008-11 and was present during the fall of Mubarak. She also served as ambassador to Syria, political counselor of Baghdad, and deputy chief of mission in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as well as many other assignments. Both the campus community and the public are welcome to attend the event, which is sponsored by the Minnock Center for International Engagement. Refreshments will be served.
