Is there such a thing as bullying in the violent sport of professional football? That’s the question sports fans, educators and commentators are pondering this week, after allegations arose out of the Miami Dolphins locker room. Player Jonathan Martin left the team, saying he’d been bullied by teammate Richie Incognito.

As Dr. Elizabeth Englander, professor of psychology, explains in this video, bullying in the workplace is different from that which takes place between youngsters. Dr. Englander is the director and founder of the Massachusetts Aggression Reduction Center, which is housed at BSU. (Video shot and edited by Michelle Hacunda, ’12, University News)
