The Bridgewater Bears football team hit Swenson Field last week, not for a game, but to lead "Kindergarten Kickoff," a day of sports and fun held for kids entering Bridgewater Elementary School.

Nearly 100 players and coaches spent the morning teaching more than 100 children some football skills, such as throwing and kicking the ball, through fun activities. The kids also had the opportunity to create their own touchdown dances and meet Bears' mascot, Bristaco.

After refueling with plenty of water, the children and players returned to the field in the afternoon for more games, including duck-duck-goose, tug-of-war, and Red Rover. Two Bounce Houses were also erected on the field.
