June 28, 2013 has named Bridgewater State University’s Career Services office as among the best in the country. The list is comprised of those who go “above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to life after college.”

“We’re very happy and proud to be recognized,” said John Paganelli, director of Career Services. “The more you focus on customer service the more you’ll get repeat business and people will say when they come to our office they get what they need.”

With 53 percent of recent graduates unable to find a job in their chosen field, the assistance of a crack career services team is key, the site’s editors claim.

The website’s ratings took into account such offerings as resume services, interview practice and job/internship searches.

President Dana Mohler-Faria and the BSU Foundation have made paid internships a priority for students.

Northeastern University, Smith College and many large state institutions from around the U.S. are included on the list. See the full list here (File photos by Karen Callan, story by John Winters, G ’11, University Advancement)
