The Canadian Studies Program’s 4th Annual Spring Symposium focused on the timely issue of military veterans' health issues in Canada and the United States.
The event featured two panel discussions, one concerning current research on veterans' health matters, the second dealt with advocacy efforts with veterans' health matter. The latter featured BSU’s own Dr. Victoria Bacon, a professor in the counselor education department and an expert on women veterans' experience.
Opening remarks were made by President Dana Mohler Faria; Patrick Binns; Canadian consul general in Boston; and Marianne Bonnard, acting delegate, Québec delegation in Boston. Dr. Joel Sokolsky, BSU’s Killam Visiting Professor in Canadian Studies, served as moderator.
