BAM! Student Theater Festival 2013 featuring Harvey and Hello Again will be held Feb. 27-28 and March 1-2 at 8 p.m. and March 2-3 at 2 p.m. in the Rondileau Campus Center Auditorium. Tickets are $15 for the general public; $10 for seniors, military and students with an ID. (Hello Again for mature audiences only.) For more information and reservations, email or call 508.531.1321.

Nathaniel Philbrick

Nathaniel Philbrick, author of In the Heart of the Sea, The Tragedy of the Whaleship Essex, the One Book One Community selection for the Town of Bridgewater and Bridgewater State University, will hold a presentation Tuesday, April 2 at 7:30 p.m. in Boyden Hall's Horace Mann Auditorium. A book sale and signing will follow his talk, which is free and open to the public.

Annual Job Fair

The Office of Career Services at Bridgewater will hold its Annual Job Fair on Wednesday, April 3 from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Rondileau Campus Center Ballroom. More than 60 employers representing a broad spectrum of career fields including accounting, finance/banking, science, social services, communications, technology, sales, customer service, retail, insurance and management, will be present to recruit and fill full-time, professional positions.

Chris Herren, former Boston Celtics player and author of Basketball Junkie: A Memoir, is the next speaker in the President's Distinguished Speaker Series on Tuesday, March 26 at 7 p.m. in Horace Mann Auditorium, Boyden Hall. Student-Parent Perspective

Tim and Matt Henderson, a former student and parent of the Children's Physical Developmental Clinic (CPDC) at Bridgewater State University, are featured speakers at the Saturday, March 23 lecture from 8 to 9 a.m. in the Center for Science & Mathematics. "CPDC Up Close and Personal: Former Student and Parent Perspective" is the topic of their discussion, which is open to both the public and the campus community. All lectures in the series relate to the care, treatment, rehabilitation and education of children with disabilities.

Education Career Fair

Get insider information on the education job market from an expert panel of school superintendents, principals and human resource managers at the annual Education Career Fair sponsored by the university's Office of Career Services. The event, for education majors and aspiring teachers at Bridgewater and beyond, will be held Wednesday, March 20 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Rondileau Campus Center. A panel discussion will begin at 4 p.m. in the auditorium and will be followed by a networking fair from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the ballroom.

Reflections on Sandy Hook

A panel discussion "Reflections on Sandy Hook: Guns, Violence and U.S. Culture" will be held Wednesday, March 6, from 1:50 to 3:15 p.m. in the Dunn Conference Suite in East Hall. The discussion will feature Dr. Mark Kemper, associate professor of political science; Dr. Kim MacInnis, professor of sociology; Dr. Sandra Faiman-Silva, professor of anthropology; and Dr. Elizabeth Englander, professor of psychology. The panel will discuss issues related to the Second Amendment, origins and consequences if U.S. gun laws and the development of responsible gun laws.

Guest Pianist in Concert

The Department of Music at Bridgewater State University presents Lilit Karapetian-Shougarian in concert on Tuesday, March 5 in Boyden Hall's Horace Mann Auditorium. She has performed extensively in her native Armenia and the former Soviet Union as well as internationally. Her solo appearances and recent contributions to a number of ensembles have won acclaim from renowned authorities in the musical world, including praise from Paul Badura Skoda, Mikhail Pletnev and Daniel Pollock. The concert begins at 8 p.m.

CPDC Lecture Program

Marie Trottier, former disability coordinator for Harvard University, will deliver a presentation "From Where I Stand: Work and Lifestyle Opportunities for Individuals with Disabilities in This New Century" on Saturday, March 2 from 8 to 9 a.m. in the Center for Science & Mathematics at Bridgewater State University. Her talk is part of a yearlong lecture series presented by the Children's Physical Developmental Clinic (CBDC) at Bridgewater. The series presents a number of topics relating to the care, treatment, rehabilitation and education of children with disabilities.

Canadian Film Series

The Canadian Studies Program presents "Force of Nature: The David Suzuki Movie" on Thursday, Feb. 28 from 4 to 6 p.m. in Maxwell Library's Heritage Room. A scientist, educator, broadcaster and activist, Suzuki shares his autobiography of ideas articulating his core, urgent message: "we have exhausted the limits of the biosphere and it is imperative that we re-think our relationship with the natural world." He offers a positive blueprint for sustainability and survival.
