Institute for Regional Development

During  2009-10 BSU Vice President for External Affairs Edward Minnock worked with the new Director for Regional Outreach, Dr. Diana Jennings, to establish a cohesive effort in regional outreach that extends the university's previous work in K-12 Outreach, Chamber and Rotary Outreach and the Institute for Regional Development.

The new Office of Regional Outreach will focus on expanding BSU's importance as a resource for business, civic and educational entities  throughout the BSU service area. Its new configuration includes the Institute for Regional Development (IRD), but with a focus on activities that convene regional stakeholders to work on common problems, particularly those in economic development.
