to start a business without Piles of Cash! Heritage Room, Maxwell Library,
7-10 pm.
This fantastic case
study of bootstrapping will discuss the pluses and
minuses of starting a business with very little
cash. Dave Henchy, Co-President of
Harvest
Delivery Inc., will discuss how bootstrapping
can be used to sustain a new business. Henchy has
over 25 years experience in online media,
hospitality, and higher education. He has not only
written about but also lived the bootstrapping
experience and has a passion for opening companies.
This combination makes him an effective speaker on
this topic.
Panelists will address
bootstrapping from the perspective of leadership,
finance, and operations. They are as follows:
Rochelle Nemrow
is the President and Founder of
FamilyID,
a Weston based company which provides centralized
online program registration to families. She has
over 25 years experience as an entrepreneur and
marketer. She has been involved in all aspects of
business, from inception to acquisition, and has
consulted with dozens of companies on their business
and marketing strategies and implementation.
Alan Adams is
the President of Galaxy Advisors, a Franklin based
consulting services company. For over 35 years in
business he held many positions in large and
medium-sized companies including Treasurer,
Controller, Vice President, Chief Financial Officer,
and Owner/Director. Now in semi-retirement after
selling his own company to a large acquisition group
he is turning his attention to teaching, writing,
investing, lecturing, and consulting for start-up
entrepreneurs.
