Early Arrival Registration

Only upperclass students may register to arrive earlier than Saturday, September 3rd.The earliest date students may move in to Shea, Durgin and Woodward Halls is Saturday, September 3rd. The residence halls officially open for the Fall semester on Sunday, September 4, 2011 for Freshmen move-in and on Monday, September 5, 2011 for students moving in to upperclass buildings. Students wishing to arrive early can do so for a fee.  The Early Arrival fee is $40 per night. This charge will be assessed to the student's account and applies to both students who physically move in early and those who just move their belongings in early.

Please keep in mind that since you are arriving early some things may not be ready for you just yet. However, we are working to make your arrival a positive experience. While we try to accommodate your needs, we ask that you keep these terms in mind:

  • You are responsible for complying with the Student Handbook and the Residence Hall License Agreement.
  • Keep the hall and building clean, maintainers are working extra hard to prepare the building for all students including those arriving early.
  • Staff may need to enter your room to do final inspections or last minute repairs.
  • Be sure to leave room for your roommate(s) who may not be here yet.
