Typical rooms in East Hall are single and double occupancy. The rooms are arranged in a suite configuration. All suites have a private shared bathroom with two sinks, showers, and toilet facilities. The most common suite configuration is 1 double room and 2 single rooms with a shared bathroom. There are also other configurations including 2 double rooms with a shared bathroom and 2 single rooms with a shared bathroom.

Furnishings provided by the university include extra-long twin beds which may be bunked, bureau, closet, desk and chair. All furnishings with the exception of the closets may be moved to suit the residents' desired setup. Closets are built into the walls of the bedroom.

Each room is centrally air conditioned and heated. The walls in the suites are made of concrete block and drywall.
