The Boards of SGA:

SGA is made up of 5 boards. These act similarly to subcommittees and commit their time to various needs of the organization. Each board is run by one Executive Board Member and in all cases but the Executive board has at least 20% of the Senate membership as members. Each board with their responsibilities is listed below:

 

Policy Board:

Do you want to make real difference on SGA? Are you a big picture person? Do you like to make the big decisions? Interested in Robert’s Rules or constitutional procedure? If you answered yes to any of these questions than Policy Board is for you. On Policy Board we not only review new clubs for approval, we also assess the structure and procedure of the SGA itself, leaving YOUR mark for years to come. So if you are not afraid to make those important decisions, join Policy Board 2012-2013 with Parliamentarian Brendan Concannon.

 

Finance Board:

Do you understand the words fiscal responsibility? Do you like having one of the final words in if an event takes place? Is the only color you see green? If so, you belong in Finance Board 2012-2013 with Treasurer Benjamin Miele. Finance board is all about the money and you make a big difference in how we spend it. We are the first group to say yes or no to any budgets and funding requests that come our way from clubs.  

 

Events Board:

Looking for a board to be a part of? Do you love planning events? Are you interested in helping decide what speakers should come to BSU? Look no further, our board brings fun and educational events and lecturers to campus. Plan. Do. Succeed.

 

Elections Board:

Interested in involving and giving a voice to your fellow students of BSU? What to be a part of one of the most important events on campus? Do you care about being the voice of the students, and making a difference? Then join elections board! It is fun and only for the best senators, of course! You'll pat yourself on the back for joining Senate Chairwoman Kayla Harvey in Elections Board 2012-2013.

 

Media Board:

Are you interested in social media like Twitter and Facebook? Do you have a way with words and enjoy writing or reading blogs? Do you like to have a good time? Then Media Board is the place for you! We run and promote SGA’s social media sites getting people excited about SGA, our events and events we fund. We also work with groups such as WBIM and The Comment to help promote media and communication on our campus. What could be better!? Join Secretary Gabriella Diniz in spreading the SGA love with Media Board 2012-2013!
