When I first went to college, I wasn’t ready yet. I tried a few other schools, but I didn’t really focus until I got to Bridgewater. It felt like a fresh start.
One big difference is that the people I’ve met here really want you to achieve as much as you can. They’ve helped me recognize leadership skills I didn’t know I had. Another difference is the opportunity I’ve had to learn about myself and my goals. As an orientation leader at Bridgewater and a Portfolio of Excellence Peer Mentor, I’ve realized that I love helping students one-on-one to encourage them both personally and academically.
Originally, I wanted to be a high school teacher, but I’m planning to attend a graduate school student affairs program. I’m aiming for a career where I can continue to guide and mentor students.
