Lindsay McDonald, Chemical Sciences
While a student at Bridgewater State College, Lindsay worked on a team to develop the award-winning Green Machine, an interactive toy that teaches principles of green chemistry. Her invention won the top prize at the 2006 national Chemvention contest, sponsored by the American Chemical Society.

The School of Arts and Sciences offers undergraduate programs leading to the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree.

The Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degree
programs allow students to select from a number of areas and provide preparation
for high school teaching (if secondary education is elected as a minor), graduate
school, and fields of endeavor related to the major area of study. Students
are advised to consult with their department chairperson or major adviser early
in their academic career, but not later than the end of the sophomore year,
in order to select a major and to be certain that course selection will allow
graduation with the desired degree.
Graduate Degree Programs
Graduate programs leading to the Master of Arts, Master of Arts in Teaching, Master of Public Administration, Master of Social Work and Master of Science degrees are offered.
