Phi Alpha Honor Society

Beta Chi Chapter

The Phi Alpha National Honor Society was founded in 1962 for the purpose of providing a closer bond among students of social work and to enter into more intimate fellowship with those dedicated to the promotion of humanitarian goals and ideals by a professional group for which specialized preparation is deemed imperative.

Phi Alpha fosters high standards of training for social work and invites into fellowship those who have attained excellence of scholarship and social distinction of achievement as students of social work.

The BSW program at Bridgewater State University founded the Beta Chi chapter in 1990.
