Links to Additional Guidance

OGSP often receives grants training materials specific to different agencies.  Below, please find links to trainings we recently received from National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Fulbright.  Additional training materials will be posted as they come available.

National Institutes of Health Web Conference
On May 3, 2007, a group of five faculty and staff gathered to learn more about NIH (National Institutes of Health) and its grant making process. The presentation was not only a helpful introduction to NIH, but to federal grants in general. To view the slide presentation, click link below:

New Materials from NIH
If you are new to the NIH grants process, learning all the ins and outs can be a daunting task. To provide a comprehensive view of NIH policies and procedures, the OER recently redesigned the http://grants.nih.gov OER Grants Web Site to include:

* A user-friendly layout, new search tools, updated links and resources

* New content areas including http://grants.nih.gov/grants/grant_basics.htm Grant Application Basics, a http://grants.nih.gov/grants/grants_process.htm Grants Process Overview and more

* New http://era.nih.gov electronic Research Administration (eRA) website that highlights system features and prominently displays resources for users

* New http://grants.nih.gov/grants/glossary.htm Glossary & Acronyms resource to help translate NIH and grant jargon

Additional help in preparing to apply to NIH can be found under "Resources," on the left.
