Bridgewater State University is home of two campus media organizations: a weekly student-run newspaper, The Comment and 180-watt independent radio station, WBIM-FM.
We encourage students to get involved in our student media, where they can broadcast, write, edit, photograph, graphic design, advertise, and produce multimedia content with guidance of professional staff members. Through real-world experience, students hone valuable skills to build their portfolio and prepare for a career in media.
Our student-run newspaper has been in business since 1927 and continues - enhanced by an interactive website - to provide up-to-the-minute news and opinion about all things Bridgewater.
Bridgewater State University's bold and innovative radio station is the only completely student-run radio station in all of Massachusetts. WBIM-FM provides the Bridgewater area with alternative programming. Listen live on Channel 71 in the Bridgewater area.
