Description: This scholarship will be awarded to a music major (preferably a pianist) who is from Massachusetts. The successful applicant will be a sophomore, junior or senior with a minimum GPA of 3.0, and will be selected through audition. Should no music major from Massachusetts satisfy the requirements the scholarship will be open to 1) a pianist from any state or country; then 2) any music major, vocal or instrumental, from any state or country. If, there is not a candidate with a major in music, an exceptional student with a minor in music and who meets other criteria, may be considered. Applications can also be obtained from the BSC Music Department, Maxwell Library. Application deadline is Friday, January 30, 2009. Auditions are scheduled for Friday, February 6, 2009 at 1:00 pm.
