Curriculum and Educational Development

This committee is responsible for organizing action and decision making process for education and curriculum focused goals on the CfS strategic plan. The committee will pursue educational opportunities for students and faculty development to include co-teaching, cohort model development, and the development of an interdisciplinary minor in sustainability. This committee coordinates all scholarships for the CfS and supports all scholarship decisions for the CfS by providing a representative to the ad hoc scholarship decision committee. Teaching opportunities tied to college outreach and action, and speakers’ series will also be completed in partnership with the College Outreach and Action Committee.

College Outreach and Action

 

This committee is responsible for organizing planning and action for college community led sustainability initiatives. These initiatives should directly positively impact student, faculty, and staff at BSU and lead to sustainability related action projects. Projects serving Bridgewater and Southeastern Massachusetts or other community partners under CfS should have benefits to BSU student education and well-being. This committee supports all scholarship decisions for the CfS by providing a representative to the ad hoc scholarship decision committee. Teaching opportunities tied to college outreach and action, and speakers’ series will also be completed in partnership with the Curriculum and Educational Development Committee.

Sustainable Futures

This committee is responsible for managing the long-run decision making and action planning of CfS. The committee will assist with faculty, staff, and student development, succession planning, and will assure that all CfS projects are tied to the center mission and strategic planning. This committee will also be responsible for managing grant resources for the center and supports all scholarship decisions for the CfS by providing a representative to the ad hoc scholarship decision committee.
