BSU's Undergraduate Admissions Office is located in the Gates House.
Constructed in 1870, Gates House is named for Samuel P. Gates, an 1857 graduate of the college who donated the building to the college in the 1920s. Prior to becoming home to the Admissions Office, Gates House was a dormitory in the 1920s and serves as the residence for the college president from the 1930s.
