Registered Student Club/Organization Trips - Groups may use 15-passenger vans when available (students are not allowed to drive, only faculty, staff, R/D's are allowed to drive student club trips). Please note: Fleet Services does not provide student drivers for club trips.
Please see the "Policy and Procedures" page for Student Clubs/Organizations. It is a requirement that a trip form and a vehicle request form be filled out and submitted to Fleet Services for all club trips.
Class Field Trips - Vans are available for field trips, driver requests are allowed for academic field trips but a faculty member must be on board to take responsibility for the group. (see below). It is a requirement that a trip form and a vehicle request form be filled out and submitted to Fleet Services for all academic trips.
There is a cost applied to all trips that require a driver. *The hourly rate ranges from $9.50 to $11.00 (4 hour min.), any department that does not cancel at least 24 hours in advance of departure, will be charged 4 hour minimum per driver! Please keep in mind that all drivers are students, so driver availability is very limited during winter, spring and summer breaks.
NOTE: The requesting department is responsible for providing fleet services with an account number (recorded on the trip form ) which will be forwarded to the payroll department along with the driver's name, from that point, the payroll department will charge the requesting department for the trip.
