COVID-19 Frequently Asked Questions

General Questions

Are you still accepting applications and deposits for the Fall 2022 term?

Yes, we are still accepting both first-year applications and transfer applications. Due to the uncertainty brought on by COVID-19, we expect to continue enrolling students through the beginning of classes this fall semester.

Our office’s ability to review applications, process materials and release decisions has not been impacted. Students may apply online at bridgew.edu/ugapply.

How will BSU handle the AP exams that were administered remotely during the pandemic?

Advanced Placement (AP) credit will be awarded as transfer credit for exam scores of 3, 4 or 5 according to our online list of AP Exam Equivalencies.

How will Pass/Fail courses be looked at for future terms?

High school courses that have been graded as a PASS because of the COVID-19 disruption will be considered as meeting the required core requirement as designated.

How will Pass/Fail courses be calculated in students’ GPAs?

Passed courses will meet core requirements as designated but will NOT be used to recalculate an applicant’s cumulative grade point average.

What is the best way for families to visit campus?

The best way for families to visit campus is to come see it for yourself. BSU has resumed a full slate of student-led tours. Please visit bridgew.edu/campus-tour for the latest updates and to register for a tour.

Can my acceptance be deferred to a later term?

Yes, an acceptance can be deferred for up to one year as long as you do not attend another institution. If you attend another school, you will need to reapply as a transfer student and have an official transcript sent from that school. To defer, submit a deferral application by logging in to your Admissions Account.
