Join the Adventure! The Center for the Advancement in STEM Education (CASE) is hosting a yearlong scavenger hunt to encourage the community to "Get Out in Nature." This is a free program open to community members of all ages. Even though this program will run for the year, you do not have to participate each month and you can join the fun at any time throughout the year.
- Each month teams will have an opportunity to explore a selected local park, trail, or nature reserve within Eastern Massachusetts.
- Teams will complete missions by documenting evidence along the way using a smart device and a free app called “GooseChase”.
- Points will be awarded each month for completing assigned missions.
- Monthly prizes will be awarded to the highest scoring team.
- Your adventure will conclude here at BSU with a culminating event celebrating all those who participated with grand prizes awarded to the 3 top teams.
- First official hunt will begin June 1, 2022 at a select location (to be announced).
To get started:
- Create a team of up to 8 people.
- Come up with a family-friendly team name.
- Designate a team captain (who is at least 18 years old) to register the team with BSU’s Center for the Advancement of STEM Education.
a. Team captains can register at any time throughout the year!
b. Register: Get out in Nature Registration - Once registration is complete, the team captain will receive information about how to proceed and how to get started on this community adventure.
Accept the challenge if you dare!
