Jumpstart is a national early education organization working toward the day every child in America enters kindergarten prepared to succeed. Since 1993, Jumpstart has recruited and trained more than 50,000 college students and community volunteers to transform the lives of thousands of preschool aged children.
At Bridgewater State University, students from all major programs and concentrations make the year-long commitment to become Jumpstart AmeriCorps members. They dedicate 300 hours of their time toward teaching preschoolers in Brockton the critical language, literacy, and social-emotional skills required for kindergarten success.
