Subject: Alumni Update
Dear Fellow Bear:
These are challenging times. Taking our cue from President Fred Clark, ’83, the Bridgewater State University Alumni & Development Office has made the difficult decision to postpone, cancel or convert-to-virtual, all alumni and donor events until June 1, 2020. This includes activities to be held on BSU’s campus, as well as events scheduled at locations outside of BSU.
The Bridgewater way is to always join together; to remember that kindness and patience are the best approaches to weathering a crisis; and to stay connected to each other. As the current students shift to remote learning, we want to shift alumni engagement online as well.
Sure, it’s not as fun as seeing one another face-to-face, but thanks to social media outlets like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, we can stay in touch and be ready to attend an event when the all clear is called.
As Fred would say, “We’ve got this!”
