COVID-19 Notice: Face Masks in BSU Buildings

Dear BSU community,

Consistent with Governor Baker’s order  , effective Wednesday, May 6, 2020, BSU is requiring students, faculty and staff to wear face masks or cloth face coverings within common areas of buildings.

Wearing face masks or coverings is an important measure for reducing the transmission of the COVID-19 virus; however, it is NOT a substitute for social distancing, and all students, faculty and staff should continue to keep six feet of distance between themselves and others.

To assist members of the BSU community who do not have access to a mask, the university is providing masks at no cost at the Maxwell Library.

We strongly encourage BSU employees and students* to comply with this measure in order to protect the health and safety of all members of our campus community. Those who do not wear such protective masks or face covers may be asked to leave the premises of BSU buildings.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Karen W. Jason
Vice President for Operations

*Please note BSU Buildings are open to BSU students and employees ONLY and not accessible by the general public.
