COVID-19 – Dashboard Update
This past week, BSU tested all resident students as well as a higher than average number of non-residents and employees this week, the second consecutive week of expanded testing. BSU administered 1,502 tests from Thursday, October 29 – Wednesday, November 4 with only 6 positives (a positive rate of 0.4% versus state 7-day positive rate of 1.9%). BSU has now administered 11,030 tests, of which there have been 44 positives (a positive rate of 0.4%). Many of the small clusters of COVID-19 cases have now completed isolation, and the close contacts generated by those cases will be completing quarantine by the end of this weekend. Of our cumulative positive cases, 30 have now recovered and only 4 students are currently isolating on campus.
We are greatly appreciative of how BSU students exhibited great restraint and public health awareness over the Halloween weekend and followed that up with a strong turnout at the test site this week.
Test dates for next week will be changed to Monday and Tuesday (9:00am-4:00pm in the Dunn Conference Center) in order to accommodate the Veteran’s Day holiday on Wednesday November 11.
