    Dr. Jakari Griffith is an Assistant Professor of Management in the Ricciardi College of Business, where he specializes in the field of diversity, inclusion, and leadership. He teaches classes in Organizational Behavior, Diversity, Leadership, and Human Resources. His research focuses on employment barriers and opportunities for traditionally marginalized applicant groups. In particular, his research explores the impacts of criminal records on employment selection practices, social and political aspects of criminal records in work, and the link between criminal records and job performance. His research has appeared in Journal of Leadership and Organizational Studies, Human Resources Development Review, Journal of Business Diversity, and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion: An International Journal. Professor Griffith serves on the Editorial Board of Journal of Leadership and Organizational Studies and the Human Resource Development Review. He was the former President for the Management Faculty of Color Association (MFCA). He earned a Ph.D. in Business at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Bachelors and Masters degree at Florida A&M University.

    Dr. Patricio Torres-Palacio earned his PhD, MBA and MSIE (Master of Science in Industrial Engineering) from Purdue University.  In his native country, Ecuador, Dr. Torres-Palacio holds degrees in Business Administration (Finance), Law, Computer Programming, and CPA. He teaches Manufacturing and Service Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, and Business to Business Marketing. Dr. Torres-Palacio's publication topics include Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Product Lifecycle Management.  Recently, he published in the International Journal of Six Sigma & Competitive Advantage and the International Journal of Managerial Finance. He also presented his research in Barcelona, Spain. In his industry, he founded and managed his own business, JOENPAL Limited. He has also been a junior accountant and an investment & credit consultant. His favorite hobbies include playing tennis, salsa dancing, and watching documentaries.
