Repairing Historical Harm: A Conversation on Reparations

4:00 PM - 5:30 PM
The Martin Richard Institute for Social Justice presents a special edition of our Civic Speaker Series, Repairing Historical Harm: A Conversation on Reparations. We will discuss reparations and how they can be a tool to help communities move forward on a path toward justice.
Guest speakers Kyle Bennett and Dwayne Keys of the Providence Municipal Reparations Commission will share their experiences and present how the Commission approached its work, how it engaged the community, and how its recommendations close the racial wealth and equity gap between Providence residents and neighborhoods.
If you’ve wondered about reparations, how they can work, and how citizen groups can work through these complex decisions, please join us!

This event is free and all are welcome to attend!

*Please note this event was rescheduled from the original date of February 28 due to an inclement weather closure. Anyone interested in attending will need to register again at the link here.
