Subject: Update: On-Campus COVID-19 Safety Procedures
Dear BSU community,
During the COVID-19 pandemic, BSU has kept our campus safe by adhering to both the Massachusetts Department of Public Health control plan and CDC guidance. On Saturday, May 29th, the Commonwealth lifted all remaining COVID restrictions and provided several advisories as we move out of the state of emergency.
To that end, the current expectation for on-campus COVID-19 safety procedures are as follows:
- Effective immediately, individuals who are able to follow current State advisement (being vaccinated or able to maintain physical distancing) are not mandated to wear a mask outside.
- After June 30th, individuals who are able to follow current State advisement will not be mandated to wear a mask inside.
- Even without mandates, there are many reasons that an individual may elect to continue to wear a mask on campus and we fully support that decision as well.
Thank you for your continued assistance in keeping BSU safe during the pandemic and in co-creating a smooth transition back to the thriving campus community that we all know and love.
