The Speech-Language-Hearing Center (SLHC) has been providing services to the university and surrounding area communities since 1982.
- provides a full range of diagnostic, consultative, and treatment services for persons with speech sound, fluency, voice, resonance and language disorders.
- serves as a source of information for individuals and their families regarding local resources and the type and availability of services and facilities in speech-language pathology.
- cooperates with allied professional personnel in identification, habilitation and rehabilitation of persons with speech sound, fluency, voice, resonance and language disorders.
- provides professional training for prospective Speech/Language Pathologists who will be able to meet current needs of the clinical population and develop new and more efficient techniques for meeting those needs.
Diagnostic and therapeutic services are available for individuals across the lifespan with a variety of speech-language disorders. Services are provided by graduate student clinicians under the immediate supervision of Massachusetts licensed and American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Certified Speech/Language Pathologists (CCC/SLP).
Hours of Operation: Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 4:45 pm
The SLHC follows the BSU academic calendar.
When BSU is closed due to inclement weather the SLHC will also be closed. If your local school district is closed, but BSU remains open, please contact the SLHC.
