Throughout the year the Community Service Center offers opportunities for BSU community members and regional partners to serve alongside each other during National Days of Service and annual campus events. These events aim to encourage volunteerism and enhance connections to the community.
September 11th National Day of Service and Remembrance
This nationwide event was established to inspire citizens to engage in service as a tribute to all the lives that were affected on September 11, 2001. The Community Service Center hosts an event that offers meaningful ways to give back to the community and reflect on the service of others.
MLK Day of Service
Bridgewater State University honors the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by coming together to serve others for the greater good of the community. Each year BSU organizes opportunities for people of all backgrounds and ages to celebrate Dr. King's legacy by turning community concerns into citizen action through community service projects.
National Volunteer Week
National Volunteer Week occurs in April and focuses on inspiring, recognizing and encouraging individuals to engage in service in creative ways.
