Connecting Families

Welcome Parents & Family Members!

Connecting Families

Bridgewater State University recognizes that you are a very important partner in your student's success. New Student & Family Programs (NSFP) is here to help you connect to campus and serves as an ongoing resource throughout your student's college journey.

Defining Parents

For the purpose of our programming, the term "parent" and "family" is inclusive of the diverse social dynamics that exist today in defining a student's personal support system. For some students a "parent" may include biological parents, step parents, extended family members, foster parents and legal guardians. Additionally, "family" for other students may be immediate family, extended family, close friends, siblings, or spouses.
